Areas of application

TESCON EXTOSEAL® sill tape is a flexible flashing tape for use around framed joinery openings as part of flexible or rigid Weather Resistive Barrier (WRB) systems. TESCON EXTOSEAL® provides a windtight and watertight adhesive seal to the substrate forming a weathertight sill to drain water safely to the outside.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TESCON EXTOSEAL® is a UV-stabilised sill flashing tape and an essential part of your WRB system. Made from butyl rubber modified with acrylate, it is malleable and easily workable into difficult to seal corners and junctions for optimal resistance to driving rain at window openings.

WEATHER EXPOSURE
This product is an essential component of a WRB system. It is designed to withstand up to 180 days of direct exposure to UV and still fulfil the intended use for wind and water control for protection against driving rain. Exterior cladding should be detailed to prevent direct sunlight onto TESCON EXTOSEAL® in service.

APPLICATION NOTES
This product should be applied using the pro clima PRESSFIX tool to activate the pressure sensitive adhesive and guarantee a long term durable seal.
