Areas of application
TESCON EXTORA® weathertight sealing tape can be used with Weather Resistive Barrier (WRB) systems. It is compatible with membranes, underlays, rigid sheathings, rigid wall underlays and rigid air barriers. TESCON EXTORA® is weathertight and vapour permeable. It is flexible, easy to cut, and has a simple-to-remove release paper, ensuring maximum productivity during installation. TESCON EXTORA® provides a wind tight and watertight adhesive seal to the substrate, forming weathertight connections under all conditions.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION TESCON EXTORA® is a UV-stabilised, multi-purpose flashing tape which forms an essential part of your weather resistive barrier (WRB) system. Made from polypropylene (PP) with acrylate, it has excellent workability and adhesion for optimal resistance to driving rain at junctions in your WRB layer.
WEATHER EXPOSURE This product is designed to withstand up to 180 days (6 months) of direct exposure to UV and still fulfil the intended use for wind and water control for protection against driving rain. Exterior cladding should be detailed to prevent direct sunlight onto TESCON EXTORA® in service.
APPLICATION NOTES
This product should be applied using the pro clima PRESSFIX tool to activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive and guarantee a
long-term durable seal. Wider TESCON EXTORA® versions have split backing for easy application in corners and
tricky junctions.
For special applications such as installation in corners of windows or doors, consider TESCON EXTORA® PROFIL, which comes
in a 60 mm width with a split 10 mm side strip.
